  • Story: The highly-competitive Makowski played a lot of sports in high school, including football for Wilson High School in Berks County. Makowski was a starting center his senior year at Wilson, playing quarterback Chad Henne. Henne would go on to start at quarterback for the University of Michigan and was drafted by the Miami Dolphins this past April.

    Makowski made the decision to get involved in MMA early during his college career which recently ended as he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Media Arts from Temple University at just 21 years of age. Training out of Daddis Fight Camps in Philadelphia, Makowski built up amateur records of 9-1 in Muay Thai and 6-0 in MMA before turning pro in 2007.
